At Nursery, term 4 has been all about eggs and chicks. We started by learning the story Chicken Licken, which led the children to ask Niki to bring her chicks and hens to visit us at nursery. The children were so calm, careful and gentle with our visitors that we decided to incubate some eggs at nursery. We waited patiently and watched with excitement as three chicks hatched. We then spent the final two weeks of term looking after the chicks as they shed their soft fluffy down and grew their feathers.
